Inspired by Childhood in Terengganu
The inspiration behind Pisango traces back to the childhood memories of Che Puan Juhaida Muda, the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
Growing up in Rantau Abang, Juhaida spent her younger days helping her grandmother sell Pisang Goreng by the roadside. Those simple yet meaningful experiences planted the seed for what would later become a thriving food brand.
Years later, those memories would inspire Juhaida to bring traditional Malaysian banana snacks to a whole new level.
Turning a Pandemic Challenge into an Opportunity
When the global COVID‑19 pandemic disrupted industries around the world, Juhaida saw an opportunity to pursue a new path.
Previously working in industrial maintenance, she decided to pivot into the food industry and chase her entrepreneurial dream. Together with her husband, Tunku Faris Tunku Khalil, the couple launched Pisango in late 2022.
Their mission was clear:
to modernise traditional banana snacks and introduce them as premium ready-to-enjoy products for today’s market.
From Banana Chips to Frozen Delights
What sets Pisango apart is its commitment to using locally sourced bananas while turning them into innovative snack creations.
Today, the brand offers a wide variety of popular products, including:

These products are sold through self-operated kiosks and expanding retail distribution networks across Malaysia, making the brand increasingly accessible to snack lovers nationwide.
Achieving HALAL Certification for Global Growth
One of the biggest milestones for Pisango was securing HALAL certification.
This achievement significantly strengthened the brand’s credibility and opened new opportunities for international marketing and global expansion. With halal certification, Pisango is now better positioned to reach consumers across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other global markets.
